Take off
First, our suggested plan and itinerary is to depart from the JFK Airport, New York.

First stop: Reykjavik, Iceland
The first stop will be Reykjavik, Iceland, which, interestingly, was the setting for Jules Verne's novel, Journey to the Center of the Earth. We will also visit Mt. Snaefellsjokull where the famous movie was filmed. We will visit museums and explore the Nordic legends of Odin, Thor, the Valkyries, and Asgarth, the Icelandic legendary city in the center of the earth.

Second stop: Oslo, Norway
The second stop will be Oslo, Norway. We will tour through its 900 year history and the Norwegian Folk Museum, the Viking Ships, the Polar Expedition , the Fram, built for Fridtjof Nansen's Polar Expedition from 1893 to 1896. The same ship was used by the explorer Roald Amundsen on his expedition to the South Pole in 1910 to 1912.

Final stop: The North Pole
Third, the actual flight to the North Pole will originate from Spitsbergen, Norway, as did Admiral Byrd's. We cannot predetermine what will be seen and experienced, as this is a journey of discovery and research. It is an attempt to gain independent verification for ourselves of Admiral Byrd's lost diary contents, and the multitude of legends for those interested in first-hand experience to make their own judgments on this subject.
